About the model:

Due to the instance of the 50th anniversary of the premiere of the Grzimek films, the remaining parts of the aircraft are on display at the German Museum of Technology. The research done by Bernhard and Michael Grzimek caused great changes in international wildlife protection.

The remarkable zebra pattern painting of the aircrafts hull was intended to make it easier to find the plane in the African veld in case of an accident or crash.
