today during a landboard kite session, i also realized, that the matrixx's depower strap. stucks... hard to adjust power - depower during flight.
so i find just 2 not's (manual and depower strap) , but many many yes+++ points

hey guys, any advise?

The early release of the center lines is corrected. In windy day I've got the point.

Something about the ground practice in high wind:
I always keep some safety space downwind (gust and a half long :) ) and put the kite at the edge of the wind window to go back when lose ground.
This works fine for me....

nice.
soon more videos from my new toy....
kosta hope to see many of yours too....

allow me kostass to give you some safety tips when flying your Neo (i saw your nice vids on another topic)

when you fly your neo alone, only launch it directly downwind as i saw in your vid @ 10- knots! AND grab and pull the center lines, all time until kite goes to zenith. that way you won't be in a danger situation. (you left them too early in the vid. of course it was not windy enough).

when the wind is 10+, you must launch // land with other techniques. or with assinstance. TRUST ME
other technique == lie your kite 90 degrees downwind (one wing tip directly to wind), fold that wingtip and put some sand. unfold the lines, going 45 degrees towards wind. slowly tension the lines, and the kite tends to fly. (helps if you learn to pre- inflate da kite)!

assistance == launch // land @ edge of wind window with a helper.

TRUST ME YOU CAN FIND YOUR SELF IN A REALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION OTHERWISE!

kosta, not a way! i was with an instructor (friend of mine) and he laughed when i told him i'd try to plan!
he came with me just to check out da kite!, when the kite pulled me in my beach jumps, he stopped laughing and told me "GO FOR IT!"
he was impressed because he knew i am so new to water action, and de to the low wind conditions! many times the wind went to 6, and it was more times like 6-8 knots!
the instructor weighted 65kg, and with his 14m LEI (can't say kite brand), he said : i won't even try because i do not know if i can even launch!!!!

the matrixx is suprisingly powerfull, steady, and flies very early. (i did not had stronger winds to check d depower range, but i hear a lot about it's huge range!
TDS = total deflag system with 5th line is also a great thing!

Yesterday i even managed to launch it in my landboard spot with 4km (that is 2.2 kn i think), so to dry it from my weekend sessions!

AWESOME KITE!

you can even see @ 2.50 of the video that the kite even gave me water power to jump, even on my size and weight!. ( i only tried once, with not such good timing) because it is difficult to time with such a big board, door 59 == 159*45cm!

to give you a point, i manage to plan with my neo @ 12-14+ knots, and have real power to jump @16+. check this vid in our local lake with 21 knots!

Congratulations my friend!!!!!! :D
thanks for the video, looks like it has very strong and constant pull!

do you believe that someone has a chance in these light conditions with LEI kite?
of course I'm foil fan.... 8)

7-9 knots is the perfect wind for stunt kiting.... but the Matrixx shows real POWER here!!!

hq matrixx 15m

Postby dimpapadop » Thu 16 Jun 2011 13:50

Hallo from Greece.
I just received my HQ Matrixx 15m, and i have to SAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
really a kite that won't let you on shore even on light breeze.
In water i am new, just 3-4 times. (i do alot of landboarding // ski-snowkitting though) 12/6/2011 during my first test flight. (the wind was 6-9 knots), so i thought i would just fly on shore the kite to get used to it.
Finally, i found myself planning comfortably powered !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in that low low low wind, taking under consideration my height // weight 1,96m - 100kg, and my poor water technique.. this kite is really incredible!

really great build quality too. I just didn't like the fact that it had not it's own manual, but a neo II / montana V manual

 thank you.
