I used the Beamer II of 5 sq.m. four times in the buggy now. On two occasions I was very happy with it,
but lately I was not. If the soil is not hard packed I can not get the speed to make it work well. (flying an S-pattern did not help)
A: On some occasions the kite stays immobile in the sky and even comes down again (rearward). (there was a steady wind) I have to work the kite to get it flying again.
maybe I can make it faster by changing the bridle.
B: if the kite collapses in the sky, (due to not enough air pressure), it is always the right tip that collapses first.
maybe the bridle is not symmetrical.
C: Both wingtips find it difficult to fill with air. I got wrinkles in the foil, unless the kite reaches full speed.
maybe the bridle was not as it should?
So, 3 times maybe!
I’ v got the bridle plan now and started to un-knot it. But how do I messure the length of the different parts? If I hook one end (loop) onto a nail, and stretch it to its maximal length, I got a different reading when pulling hard. The A-line in the middle should be 121 cm. It seems to be 120.5 and I can stretch it until 121.5!
I read in another topic that, shortening the A-lines in the bridle with 1 cm. would make the kite flying faster. How do I obtain that cm shorter? By leaving the loops as they are and just making a simple knot?
What shall I do
