Hi,

I don't recommend a bicycle bar. Because the load that can be generated by a kite could be very high and maybe that causes a break and injury.

From our side, we can not recommend to experiment on a self made bar, due to safety reasons.

Best Regards

DIY Control Bar

Postby roadie3rd » Wed 13 Jun 2007 16:03

Hi Everyone
I am currently flying a beamer II 3.6 on handles and am wanting to try it on a bar. The only thing is i dont want to spend out on a bar then find i dont like it. I was wondering if its possible to make a control bar from old bike handle bars i have 2 types, a straight ally set and mountain bike riser bars.

Does any one know how to make/ set up of the bars or anywhere with how to make them. The main problem is the setting up not sure on lengths and positions. I have tried this once or twice but have failed in getting the correct setup.

I tend to build alot of things that i need rather than buy them i have my own small workshop in the garden, one project im currently working on is an electric line winder that doesnt tangle your lines (lazy i know but hey its a bit of fun)

Hope some one can help

Cheers
